Flip...jump...boink!

Hay.. I'm kummerflexed. That is the word. A new word;

...parang wala pa ata ako naaccomplish sa mga dapat na gawin this week ah. LP's, report, midterms, research, etc... Why am I so slow in everything? I spend 90% of my day gaping at nothing and my thoughts wandering off to a different direction.

I think I am going crazy. I'm so stressed in all elements of my person. I want rest.

My Beloved…

Jea Giezl N. Solidum

II-Dalton

My Beloved, I remember you in seasons,

I come to you in gusts of wind

I visit you in the subtle light of moon

I illuminate your lovely face with rays of sunlight

I embrace you with every drop of rain

My beloved, I am with you throughout the day

At dusk, I send out fireflies to lighten your mood

At dawn, I let out a crow’s cry to awaken your soul

At noon, I send out fragrance of flowers from the fields

At the day’s end, I lull you to sleep with the chirping of the birds

My beloved, I remember the days when we frolic under the cottony blue sky

I feel the joy in you

I see the happiness in your smile

I hear the voice of love in every whisper….

My beloved, I grieve for your tears, for your every sigh

The road I took was winding and swerving

The monkeys heard my misery and sent my fate to you

The butterflies went fluttering to comfort your days

My beloved, I look down from the serene deep blue sky

I see your silver streaked hair

Gleaming under the twinkling light

I shed to warm your pale, sad face

I come to you in all forms because my love for you goes beyond infinity, infinity, infinity

My Melancholy Missive

Mike Justin A. Gianan

II – Dalton

At the birth of the invincible star

I drink my cup of tea, longingly

For this one’s another day of solitude

Another time of toil and lament

At the growth of the invincible star

I work about hither and thither, alone

Apart from the busy toilers and the rivers of economy

Feeling like there’s a missing piece

I read the business letters, waning

For every single time I remember your beautiful eyes

I sort and place every file, weeping

For I cherish the memories of your cleaning, eager hands

I sit and lie and rest, whispering

That you would be by my side now

At the death of the invincible star

I reminisce the times when we were young

When we were hopping and skipping and frolicking

As if time never flies

Underneath the stars, I sigh words of melancholy

Hoping that it would be carried by the gentle breeze

Hoping that it would come to you, my cherished

Hoping that I would be home for you

I cannot cry to the zephyrs my yearning

For I know that you wouldn’t realize

So I write this letter of mine to you

To remind you of the days of what had been

I write this letter of mine to you

To calm your somnolent soul

I write this letter of mine to you

To disclose the three words, I love you.

The Light in Your Eyes

Patrick Talosig

II-Dalton

Darker than any night, I look into your eyes

All I see is plain black and blank

Colder than any snow, I reluctantly go

For I was thinking that this would put light in your eyes

Now that I’m far from where you are

I want you to know that I miss you too

Together with the endless flow of this cruel river

The feelings I have in my heart would never end

Everyday I see different people

Different faces, different characters

But as I sail again in different regions

I look up into the sky and see the light in your eyes

I want to ask for forgiveness

Nothing but forgiveness

For your forgiveness is the only gift I would take

For me to be happy and continue to live

Though no hands can ever reach us

It is my love that will be the only bridge to take

Dream, my love, close your eyes and dream

Together we will meet in a rainbow that never ends

Wipe those tears on your face for I’ll be home soon

I’ll be looking forward for the light in your eyes

This ends my letter to you

If you feel lonesome, remember to dream

I’ll be fine with the wings of your love

And if I haven’t said it to you my dear,

All I want you to know is that I LOVE YOU

As Love and Destiny United You and Me

Ynna Lao

II - Dalton

When I first saw you in the middle of spring,

I got so delighted to see your stunning appearance

Staring at your angelic face with the sweetest lips

Gazing the stars that twinkles in your eyes

You are dressed in Cheongsam with red velvet shoes

The sign that our parents has been talking about for so long…

Alas! You are the one whom I’m going to share my everything

We married each other, and lived in a very far away place

Somewhere I know that love can be developed

Somewhere I know that my wish would come true

At first I thought that you can never learn to love me back

But I promised you, I would wait for your heart to be mine

Until that time came

And you decided to make our bodies become one

You showed me concern, trust and love

You showed me everything that I’m wishing for so long

My Lady, now I may be proud to say these words

Words that my heart has been asking me to say…

“...I love you and I need you, you are mine and I am yours, forever”

But, dear, everything seemed to be so late

For I have to seek my fate in Ku-to-En

I know that this option will be so hard for me to accept,

But believe me, oh please,

All I was thinking about in accepting this is you

I have to seek my destiny not only as a merchant in my profession,

But as your husband who promised to give everything to his beloved

All this time, I’m having this grief in my heart

The grief of leaving you in times that darkness turned to be in brightness

The grief of knowing that everything now turned back into dusk

But all I can do is to hold into my love for you

Enclosed with trust and faith

Things I know that even distance can never break

Oh, My Dear, My Lady and My Princess

Wait for me until the right time come

Wait for me until the sun rise and bind us together

Please stay here in my heart until my arms hug you tight

Keep on singing our song, for my heart will sing with you

Please hold on, keep on reminiscing our sweetest moments

Keep on looking at our pictures and stopping by at our favorite places

Baby, I know that this would not take long

For I will be back home, soon.

This letter won’t end

Even I sealed it with a kiss

Even I asked it to hug you

Just remember that my love for you will never fade

I will guide you everywhere forever,

Nothing’s going to stop nor break my love

Even the distance from Chokan to Ku-to-En

The River Merchant: Sentiment of Agony (reply)

Jose Miguel Bobier

II-Kepler

Parting was never easy for me, my dear.

To depart in a place where humid dominates its nature,

And a different kind of dread fills its surface.

Without doubt, the thought of my demise was not out of the query,

But here I am, writing a letter for your disquiet to vanish.

Even as the time passes by,

Your love for me did not perish.

True devotion hordes your soul, and

As your face commits my mind,

It touches my oh so foolish heart.

Longing for you is the only thing I can act.

To banish the sting my heart suffers at this moment.

Sorrow of separation be throne my entity,

And the only way to scrap this frame of thought,

Is to envision that you and I are finally together,

Forever and forever and forever.

My lovely spouse, I give you my word.

Meet me at the Kiang River,

For there our hearts will again convene,

And ne’er shall distance

Trample our foremost commitment.

TO MY WIFE
by Julianne S. Cabodil

II-Dalton

I lay upon the dirt
gasping for clean air.
Tears stung my eyes
with a strong force.
An uncontrollable sensation.
It was because
of our reminisced memories,
our remembered times.
It was beautifully painful,
my darling.

It touched me how much
you remembered those things.
But all the while,
hurting me.
I left you alone,
causing you to feel
loneliness
and pain.
I apologize.

My wife,
you may wonder
how my life is.
Everything seems so ridiculous.
This place is full of swindlers.
One tricked me
into selling the antique gold watch
your father gave me.
But do not worry,
I am safe.
Though,
not quite sure if I'd
be able to go home soon.

It is dangerous to go out
and travel.
I'm staying until the
road is safe again to
journey in.

My wife,
I ask you to be patient.
Just like I was when we were
first married.
I am coming back
for you.
For now,
a simple request.
Look after my heart,
my love,
for I've left it with you.

Thorns of Yesterday

Patrick M. Alfonzo

II- Dalton

By the eye of the swirling eddies,

I live.

By the power of hindrances,

I exist.

By the why's and where fore’s,

I never doubted.

All these, I faced

For my tasks to be accomplished.

Years have passed

And time has come,

I’ve read your letter

And visualized your cries.

In course of time,

You were alone,

Seeking for help

But nobody listened.

You are there

And I am here,

Thinking about how much

I miss you.

Thinking about how fool I am

When I departed you.

Thinking how I will appreciate

The time we should have spent together.

By the time this letter

Reached you,

I might be

In the other world.

I might be

Near the throne of Grace.

I might be dead.

My dear,

For my last few words,

Let me offer you my soul.

‘til my very last breath,

I never looked back.

I was never put into temptation,

Temptation, that might create

A rope of sand.

Accept my biggest ‘thank you’,

And feel my wholehearted ‘I love you’.

The Sanctuary I Yearn

By: Carla Mae B. del Rosario

       II-Dalton

Remembering how fast life passed

Since the days of our youth and innocence

Until we were wedded and became unchaste

Everything was wholly about you and me.

We may not like the idea at all

But everything fell in place

Without exchanging of words we survived

Without the love you started to cry.

Knowing that this is the life meant for me

I agreed and went afar

Leaving you gloomy and anxious

Doubting and without serenity.

Waiting for the time I can you my love

Being with you and nobody else

Filling all the time we wasted

Of course! wishing for that moment to come.

Lonely nights of boredom in this distant land

Staring blankly in the sky just thinking of you

Wondering what miracles life can offer

Perhaps, bring me closer into you.

I do not express my love the way you want me to

But trust me, everything was all for you

It may cause you cries and pains

But promise, it will all start to change.

As I come home from this tiring place

Wait for me if you must really care

Because I know that there’s still a spot in your heart

The spot of which I can call-my sanctuary.

11.jpgA Husband’s Letter

The flowers have bloomed before I know it.

I sit here, watching the current of the river

Carry me through

I reminisce the days when we play,

Out on the front gate

Oh those days, those days.

I could see you playing,

Pulling flowers and playing with blue plums.

When we got married,

You were too bashful to speak

And I often see your averted eyes and bent head.

You respected me.

I dragged my feet, going out.

Not wanting to be separated from you

I went on a journey to a river with swirling eddies.

I might die today, later , tomorrow

I don’t know if I’m going to return.

If I die, your memory will live with me forever.
