An afternoon with kuya rico

Funny things happen during family gatherings. This was specifically during Tita Teena's birthday.

I knew before that Rico Blanco is a distant relative of ours. But I can't believe that he's not that distant after all. Our clan indeed is of creative and artistic people. He's one whom I can be so proud of, apart from myself. (feeler! haha.)

Right. We're just in time for my niece to get an interview for a feature article for her class paper. It was great to catch up with Kuya Ric's busy sched! Thanks to Tita Teena, she had him come home and go to her small birthday gathering.

(Within their compound is Kuya Stan's house. It is a bonus to see these cute angels: 3 Labradors and a pittbull which, has a way of hiding from the camera. ü)

Happy Teachers' Day by Mara

My student who also happened to assume the role of TBF's photographer took a lot of pictures during SSC's teacher's day.

Yeah, our day. And for a day, our students took our place as teachers. When my student counterpart, the one who portrayed Ms. Directo for the day, went to one of my Speech 2 classes, she had fun and my students really loved her.

Well, it seemed to be a great resting day for us. However, I found the faculty computer room to be fully occupied. Everybody took the opportunity to do paperworks. How's that? Haha.

In any case, I won't keep you further. Take a look at the pictures taken by one of my very talented students. ü

Glorious First for a Freshie in the real world

I love my first job, my first (and I hope that this won't be the last.) year of teaching.

I did not do so well. But I learned something apart from a lot of things. That is, the fact that I am not invincible, as I used to believe. Aside from the fact that I again learned that my weirdness could never be gotten over ever.

Yes I did not do so well. I bore my students, haha. but I gained a lot of friends which I have never believed to happen in the "real world." The real world is all about people in formal working clothes, high heels and survival of the fittest. Nah. It's not that.

In the real world, you can still find people who still believe in neverland, that Peter Pan and fairies exist, and has the child in their hearts.

Well, I am invincible after all. =)

Ishtar

When I am sitting at the door of a tavern,
I, Ishtar, the goddess,
Am prostitute, mother, wife, divinity
I am what people call life
Although you call it death.
I am what people call Law,
Although you call it Delinquency.
I am what you seek
And what you find.
I am what you scattered
And the pieces you must now gather up.
